Jan Marini glycolic peels are derived from sugar cane, which has the smallest molecular structure of the alpha hydroxyl acid family and is therefore very effective at penetrating the skin.
Apart from sloughing away dull, rough skin to reveal a softer, smoother appearance studies suggest that continuous treatments with glycolic peels plump up overall skin texture and cellular activity, slowing the aging process and reversing damage caused by the sun.

We strongly recommend preparing your skin for 2-3 weeks prior to treatment with the 5 step skin management system.
Preparing the skin will enhance results and minimize sensitivity, peeling and down time following the peel. A minimum requirement prior to a glycolic peel is the daily use of a glycolic or retinol product for 2 weeks prior to your facial.

This facial uses the Jan Marini the holiday exfoliator, which has uniquely designed microscopic particles gently exfoliate while releasing a skin protectant. Enzymes and glycolic acid further polish the skin for superior exfoliation without being harshly abrasive. Combined with potent antioxidants, the Marini Holiday Exfoliator leaves the skin polished and silky smooth for a glowing complexion.

Blue Light
Blue LED light wavelength used in the Dermalux LED facial has powerful antibacterial properties for the treatment of acne and problem skin without irritation. Exposure to blue light destroys the P. acnes bacteria and is an effective alternative for clients who do not respond to other acne treatments or antibiotic therapy, especially for darker and teenage skin. It is also excellent in the prevention of future breakouts and bacterial skin infection.
UV-free phototherapy has been used for decades in the management of common skin disorders including eczema and psoriasis. Essentially visible blue light provides all the antibacterial benefits associated with sunlight but without the harmful and damaging rays.

Combined Blue and Red Light
Understanding the benefits of each colour wavelength and how they can work synergistically will help to explain how Concurrent Modality Treatments (CMT) or multi-wavelength LED treatments can offer enhanced and accelerated results over a single wavelength treatment.
With combination treatments, the selected wavelengths will be absorbed at different depths, targeting different cells in the skin to treat multiple concerns in one session.

Changes in skin condition can often be seen after just one treatment. For optimum results we would recommend a course of 6- 12 treatments (depending upon your current skin condition), up to 3 sessions per week for 3 weeks.
Maintenance treatments are recommended once or twice a month or as required.
